Rating criteria & Review prompt

Findings:

  • Trust in Ratings: Users rely on average scores and the volume of reviews to make decisions.

  • Desire for Current Information: Users want up-to-date details, influencing their choice.

  • Lack of Incentives: Users feel no motivation to leave reviews.

  • Perceived Impact: Users feel their opinions may not significantly influence others or the platform.

Users face challenges in choosing destinations based on ratings due to the potential inaccuracy of scores influenced by the number of ratings. This can result in missed opportunities or unsatisfactory visits. Addressing this issue is essential for improving decision-making and enhancing the overall user experience

Target Audience

App users aged 20-40 years old who highly value collective opinions when selecting destinations, but encounter challenges regarding the accuracy and dependability of available ratings. They seek solutions to enhance their decision-making processes and ensure more satisfying experiences.

Contributor Reward Program: this program is designed to encourage users to share their experiences by leaving ratings and reviews of places visited on the app. As they contribute, they'll accumulate points and climb the ranks, unlocking greater benefits with each new level. These points they have accumulated can be used to redeem rewards

This program aims to increase the accuracy and reliability of the ratings by enlarging the rating sample. It will transform the app’s user base into a community of active contributors and enhance the user experience.
